We at ASI, your student Government strive for the best for all our constituents on campus. In order to ensure that we represent all your interests to the best of our abilities all necessary decisions are compartmentalized to 9 standing committees of ASI. These committees meet regularly to discuss and vote on matters important to our students.

The External Affairs Committee is responsible for overseeing and disseminating information of all business outside that of the Internal Affair affiliated with the corporation. The purpose and duties of the ASI External Committee shall be to:

• Address issues concerning students with the University.
• Work closely with the CSUEB Foundation Board, the Academic Senate and the University Administration to advance students’ issues.
• Provide communication between the organizations and participate in on-going planning and activities.
• Recruiting students at large for appointments by the Board of Directors on University wide Committees.
